Equipment rated “Safety Related” for nuclear power plants means the equipment must operate before, during, and after Design Basis Events. These events involve earthquakes and abnormal environmental conditions, including high temperature, pressure, and radiation. The control and manufacturing of nuclear equipment is similar to the requirements configuration management required by the military. ECU Corporation has the quality assurance program with procedures in place that ensure equipment meets nuclear “Safety Related” requirements.

Over the years our team has been involved in all types of equipment used in nuclear power plants and in DOE facilities. This equipment is designed to meet the requirements set forth in ASME AG-1, “Code on Nuclear Air and Gas Treatment”.
